Tribute to Gerald Ford

This is a tribute to our late "accidental" ex-president, who was a great man (or so I've heard, I wasn't alive during his term). Nonetheless, he was a great man and I want to pay a tribute to him.

Gerald Ford,

may God bless you

and welcome you

to new life.

You were a good man

and will be missed.

America salutes it's fallen hero,

who forgave rather than seeking revenge.

You were criticized for your actions,

yet you stayed strong.

And now we know the importance of your decision.

To forgive in a time of crisis,

to have led a nation through dark times,

we thank thee for being strong.

You are an American hero.
